Top 10 Winter Films To Snuggle Up With On a Rainy Evening

January 16, 2019

Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I’ve not posted in a while but I’ve mostly just been planning 2019 content and taking lots of photos. I hope you all enjoyed my ’12 Days of Rebecca Rose’ series – I really enjoyed taking festive photos for it and uploading more regular content.

I don’t know about you but during December I always love watching the Christmas films and I never know what to watch when December is over. I’ve come up with 5 movies that are all themed around Winter and are perfect to watch on a cold Winter’s day. Hallmark have also released some new ‘Winterfest’ movies, some of which are included, so I thought they would be perfect for this time of year!dsc_0148

1. Frozen –

This film literally screams Winter! I love all of the songs in this film and it’s a Disney film so you really can’t go wrong. When their kingdom becomes trapped in winter, Anna, with the help of Kristoff and his reindeer sidekick try to find Anna’s sister, Snow Queen Elsa and break her icy spell.

2. The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe –

This is set in a magical Winter kingdom where 4 kids travel through a wardrobe and learn of their destiny to free it with the help of a mystical lion.

3. Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone –

This is the first Harry Potter movie and, in my opinion, the best. It has some beautiful snowy scenes and I always think of Harry Potter as a winter movie.

4. Ice Age –

This is a really funny film and it even has ice in the title. Set during the Ice Age, a sabertooth tiger, a sloth, and a wooly mammoth find a lost human infant, and they try to return him to his tribe.

5. Murder on the Orient Express –

I love watching crime films and this is no exception. It is a really interesting film with beautiful winter imagery. When a murder occurs on the train on which he’s travelling, celebrated detective Hercule Poirot is recruited to solve the case.
