3 Books That I’ve Been LOVING recently

February 21, 2018

I love reading especially when it’s one of those books that you can’t put down! I’ve recently been reading quite a few good books so I thought I’d share them with you. Whilst my fav genres are psychological thrillers and murder mysteries, I’ve been reading quite a few different genres and I’ve really enjoyed them. Here are 3 good books that I couldn’t put down!

DSC_0874Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine – Although this book starts of quite slow, it starts to reveal more and more about Eleanor’s past and her life. I LOVE the way that it’s written, it’s very witty and smart. I also found it very interesting to learn and find out more about Eleanor’s character. It’s a very different book and that’s why I like it.

Eleanor Oliphant leads a simple life. She wears the same clothes to work every day, eats the same meal deal for lunch every day and buys the same two bottles of vodka to drink every weekend.

Eleanor Oliphant is happy. Nothing is missing from her carefully timetabled life. Except, sometimes, everything.

One simple act of kindness is about to shatter the walls Eleanor has built around herself. Now she must learn how to navigate the world that everyone else seems to take for granted while searching for the courage to face the dark corners she’s avoided all her life.

DSC_0873Not If I See You First – I found that this book was a real eye-opener and interesting to learn about the life and daily struggles of a blind person. Whilst this wasn’t one of those books-that-you-cannot-put-down, it’s a cosy read and perfect for reading a chapter or two before you go to bed. It also has braille on the front cover which I thought was really cool!

Parker Grant doesn’t need perfect vision to see right through you. That’s why she created the Rules: Don’t treat her any differently just because she’s blind, and never take advantage. There will be no second chances.DSC_0872I absolutely LOVED this book and read it in 2 days. It’s one of those books that you cannot put down and it’s filled with twists and turns. I love the setting of this book and it’s very dark and twisted.  It’s very psychological and really got me thinking after reading it. If you like series like Gossip Girl and PLL than this is the perfect book! I would 100% recommend.

Five students go to detention. Only four leave alive.
Yale hopeful Bronwyn has never publicly broken a rule.Sports star Cooper only knows what he’s doing in the baseball diamond.Bad boy Nate is one misstep away from a life of crime.Prom queen Addy is holding together the cracks in her perfect life. And outsider Simon, creator of the notorious gossip app at Bayview High, won’t ever talk about any of them again. He dies 24 hours before he could post their deepest secrets online. Investigators conclude it’s no accident. All of them are suspects.
Everyone has secrets, right?
What really matters is how far you’ll go to protect them.
