I love a good old monthly favourites so I thought why not do one of the whole year! I love makeup and beauty related things and this year I have discovered some great ones. You may have seen a few of these products appearing in other beauty-related blog posts of mine but I couldn’t not talk about them again! I haven’t included any skin care items in here, just makeup products. However, if you want me to do one about skincare feel free to leave a comment.
Autograph Hydrating Confidence Boost Primer – I never used to use primer that much but recently I’ve been using it a lot more. Now it’s getting a bit colder my skin tends to get dry and patchy in places(yummy) and it was making my makeup go flaky in places. Now that I’ve started using primer before using foundation etc. it looks a lot better. The reason why I love this primer is because of how hydrating it is.
Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation – I know this has been talked about a lot but I love it! After trying so many foundations I always end up coming back to this one. It goes on your face very well and gives good coverage without feeling heavy on your face. It also doesn’t look cakey on your face whatsoever.
Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer – I love to use this one underneath my eyes and to cover up redness. I quite often just use this and no foundation because of how well it works. The price is very reasonable and it is very easy to apply and blends well.
Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer – This has a very high coverage and is great for using under the eyes. I quite often use this to contour or to tidy my eyebrows with. It really brightens my eyes and has an overall matte to satin finish that doesn’t crease throughout the day if you set it with a powder.
Soap and Glory Glow All Out Highlight Stick – I’ve talked about this many times before but I just LOVE it! I like that it’s a cheek stick because it’s a lot easier to blend and I normally just use my fingers. It gives you skin an instant glow. I also love this product because you can use it for a subtle glow but also for a night out. It also lasts for ages, I’ve had mine for two years and it still hasn’t run out!
Benefit Hoola Bronzer – I know this has already been raved about by almost every beauty blogger so I won’t ramble on about it for too long! It’s quite dark but it’s really easy to blend out and gives a healthy, natural looking ‘tan’. I also use this as a contour and it’s just as easy to use. It stays on your skin for the whole day and night without falling half way down your face.
Sephora Snow Glow Palette – This is a relatively recent discovery but I LOVE it. I’ve always wanted to try Sephora makeup but because I live in the UK, it’s quite hard to get hold of. My mum recently went to New York and she kindly brought me back some Sephora makeup, this being one of them. It has 2 highlighters, a bronzer, a blush and two ‘transforming’ shades. The pigmentation is just incredible and because it’s a Christmas palette it makes it even better! I like that you have all the shades in one palette so it would be very easy to use on the go.
Real Techniques Beauty Blender – How could I have a favourites post without putting this in it! It’s what I use to put most my makeup on with and it’s just AMAZING. I find that the one from real techniques is best because it’s quite soft and just seems to work the best. I find that using a beauty blender just makes applying concealer/foundation so much easier and everything lasts for longer. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!
Maybelline Lash Sensational Mascara – I love a mascara that makes you lashes look really long but without being clumpy and this does the job. I’ve never been one for false lashes – mostly because I’m rubbish at applying them! This makes your lashes almost look like they’re false ones(in a good way) and after trying so many different mascaras, I always come back to this one. It’s really affordable and lasts for a long time.
Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons Eyeshadow Palette – I love ALL Too Faced eye shadow palettes not only because of the amazingly pretty packaging but the exceptional pigmentation. It was no exception when I tried the Too Faced Chocolate Bon Bons palette around 8 month ago. If you love a good nude eyeshadow palette that has a slight pop of girly colour then this is the palette for you. The packaging is just incredible, it would look perfect on your makeup table. It also has some gorgeous colours. Whilst they have some nudes shades, the more pinky shades are my favourite. They’re perfect for Spring!
E.L.F. Eyebrow Pencil – I was very excited to see the E.L.F. brand in Superdrug so I ordered a few of their things to try them out, the eyebrow pencil being one of them. It’s the perfect eyebrow pencil:the shade matches perfectly and I like the spooly on the other end to blend it out. It gives a fuller, thicker looking eyebrow whilst still looking natural.
Rimmel Stay Matte Liquid Lipstick – I love a good liquid lipstick because it stays on your lips for ages without having to reapply it 1234495 times. I was looking for a berry lip for Autumn so when I came across this, I couldn’t resist!
I could ramble on for ages and probably list a lot more products but I thought I’d better end it here! Do you have any beauty favourites or agree with any here?
