Festive Makeup Look

December 13, 2017

🎄Day 7 of 12 days of RebeccaRose🎄

I love getting dressed up and doing my makeup around December, especially Christmas day. I think it’s nice to make a bit of an effort on Christmas day, it makes the day feel even more special. I like to wear a red lip and shimmery eyes on Christmas day. Here is my go to makeup look for parties and Christmas day.

First I moisturise my face using a Nivea moisturiser. I then apply my Rimmel Match Perfection Foundation to my face using either a beauty blender or a real techniques expert face brush. After that I will add my Rimmel wake me up concealer in ivory underneath my eyes and on any blemishes. I blend that in using a real techniques beauty blender. I love using a beauty blender because it sets everything a lot better and the product lasts for longer. After I’ve done that I will apply the bourjois blush in golden lilac to my cheeks.  This is such a gorgeous colour and looks beautiful on your face. It gives you a healthy glow and radiant-looking skin. I love it! Finally, my favourite part, highlight! I always like to use a highlight stick because it’s a lot easier to apply and normally more pigmented. My go-to highlight is Soap and Glory highlight cheek stick in Glow All Out. I apply this to my cheekbones and use my fingers to blend it out.

I don’t usually do much with my eyes however for parties and Christmas I like to make a bit of effort, especially if glitter is involved! I start of with my Too Faced Chocolate Bar palette. I love this palette because of its amazing pigmentation and gorgeous smokey shades. I apply the shade white chocolate all over my eye using the Real Techniques base eye brush. I then apply semi-sweet in the crease of my eye using the Real Techniques deluxe crease brush. I then apply marzipan in the outer corner with my fingers. Now for the fun part! I take my Maybelline 24 hour colour tattoo eye shadow and, using my finger, lightly tap the eye shadow in the centre of my eyelid and blend it outwards. This makes it look more festive and sparkly. To complete the look, I add a glittery eyeliner to my eyes. I used one that I got from a Tanya Burr advent calendar last year however any looks good. I use my Maybelline Lash Sensation Mascara to bring the look together and curl my lashes. I absolutely LOVE this mascara because it gives you longer lashes without being clumpy. To fill in my eyebrows I use an e.l.f. eyebrow pencil and brush. I’ve recently discovered this product and it’s AMAZING! It gives you natural and fuller looking brows without too much effort.

This is my favourite part because it brings the whole look together and makes it look even more festive. I love a liquid lipstick so I had to use my trusty Tanya Burr matte lip. This is super easy to apply and is the perfect festive colour that compliments any makeup look.
